South Essex plans to transform digital connectivity in the region, providing contemporary digital infrastructure that will see the entire region super-connected to attract a new business base.
ASELA has already secured a £4.4million broadband boost enabling the rollout of Full Fibre broadband infrastructure across south Essex which will enable providers to deliver some of the fastest connections in the country to residents and businesses,
This is the result of a successful bid to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). It is expected to be delivered by May 2021.
The vital infrastructure work was the first large scale project by ASELA, delivering improved connectivity to 129 sites across Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Rochford and Thurrock.
These works deliver some of the fastest broadband connections in the UK to schools, community services and care facilities across South Essex.
