ASELA welcomes Homes England to South Essex
Homes England delegation shown key sites in Brentwood, Basildon and Thurrock
Members and officers of ASELA were delighted to host a visit to South Essex by a delegation from Homes England on Monday 17 January. The Homes England delegation, led by Chair Peter Freeman and Chief Executive Peter Denton, were shown a number of sites in the west of the South Essex region, including the former Ford HQ in Warley, Brentwood, Basildon town centre and Purfleet, where the visit concluded at the High House Production Park.
We were able to share more about the five pioneer programmes of ASELA: 1. delivering gigabit capable digital connectivity to every household by 2025 2. improving skills by creating the South Essex Technical University to ensure local people can access productive and highly skilled jobs; 3. driving economic growth through Thames Freeport; 4. linking and nurturing natural landscapes through SEEPARK (South Essex Estuary Park); and 5. unlocking infrastructure investment and accelerating the delivery of much needed new housing.
ASELA looks forward to a fruitful partnership with Homes England around shared ambitions.
